The Department of English celebrated 154th Birth anniversary of the greatest poet, philosopher and artist, RabindraNath Tagore on April 09, 2015 in the university’s auditorium. The event was commenced with the inspiring words of Honorable President Sir, Dr Devendra Pathak, where Sir articulated about the sharp and intellectual life span of Guru Dev. Dean, Prof. J . N. Mathur and Proctor and HOD of Mechanical Department, Dr Manvijay Singh, also threw some light on GuruDev’s achievements.  Later on the students of Diploma II year, preformed a skit and recite some poems of great Rabindra Nath Tagore. Ms. Shruti Soni, HOD of Humanities and Social Sciences and Assistant Professor of English Department, gave a presentation on one of the themes of Guru Dev’s writing “Women Emancipation”. The occasion was graced by the presence of the faculty members and students. The event was celebrated with great vigour and zeal. Dean Sir extended a vote of thanks.
