Ph.D. Selection Process

M.Phil. / Ph. D. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION SCHEDULE AND RESULT

The Test will consist of two papers namely A) Research Aptitude test and B) Subject Specific test. Both papers will consist of objective & Subjective type questions and will be held on 15th, Jan 2023 (Sunday) as per below schedule:

Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. The paper is divided into 3 sections (A, B, C), in section A there are 10 objective type questions having 01 mark each, in part B & C there are subjective type questions.  

Paper-II The paper is divided into 3 sections (A, B, C), in section A there are 10 objective type questions having 01 mark each, in part B & C there are subjective type questions.

RESULT DECLARATION AND INTERVIEW

The candidates scoring 50% and above marks combined in paper I and II will be allowed to appear in the interview followed immediately after the test at 02:00 P.M. onwards.

Final Result

UGC-NET / UGC-CSIR-NET (both including JRF) / SLET / Teacher Fellowship holder will be interviewed on Sept, 23rd to 25th, 2022 by the Board of Advance Studies and Research (BASR) of the University for suitability as direct admission to M.Phil. / Ph.D. program. This will be followed by interview of M.Phil. Qualified candidates for exemption of compulsory courses and directly pursuing Ph.D. work. Candidates appearing in the interview cannot be granted surety of the admission. The selected candidates may be asked to take directed courses as per direction of the BASR. Result of the successful candidates will be declared on the University website.
